An Epic 750KM Walk To Help Feed The Homeless And Collect 200 Tonnes Of Dried Food Items For The MALAYSIA FOODBANK.

KUALA LUMPUR, APRIL 2: Starting from April 19th at the picturesque Kampung Wang Kelian, Perlis and ending on the 23rd of May at Melaka, a team of 10 core walkers will undertake a mammoth 750km journey, walking 25km daily to help raise RM 3.6 million and 200 tonnes of non-perishable food items for the poor and the homeless.

The campaign called the Good Will Walk 2015 is also aimed towards establishing the Malaysia Foodbank or Pertubuhan Tabung Makanan Malaysia.

Themed, Good Will Walk: Walk To Feed, this campaign is being coordinated by UNITED SIKHS Malaysia in close cooperation with several other Malaysian NGOs and local authorities to help raise awareness of the plight of the homeless, the abject poor, minority communities and the need to be prepared for natural disasters. It also aims to inculcate amongst Malaysians the spirit of volunteerism, keeping fit and promoting the tourism potential of Malaysia's countryside villages and towns.

"The Malaysia Foodbank will help to store non-perishable food items that can be later distributed to feed the victims of natural disasters and anyone else in need," said Rishiwant.
