On Monday, May 20, 2013, a deadly tornado tore through parts of Oklahoma, destroying homes and properties in city of Moore, OK. Authorities have reported the death toll of 24 people including 10 children, and 237 injured. Over 20,000 families have been displaced from their homes.


President Barack Obama said it was "one of the most destructive tornadoes in United States history," reports NBC News.


"UNITED SIKHS is committed to assist in the emergency recovery of survivors and our hearts and prayers go out to all the victims and their families," pledged Kuldip Singh, UNITED SIKHS.


UNITED SIKHS Aid team is on site to make assessment and provide hot meals to the most affected areas.
