As Pakistan continues its military efforts against the Taliban in the North-West Frontier Province and Federally Administrated Tribal Areas in Pakistan, the humanitarian crisis in the region has reached epic proportions. The United Nations, who is currently registering internally displaced peoples (IDPs), estimate that over 500,000 people have been displaced just in the first week of May, making a total of over 1.3 million IDPs since fighting began last year, in what is now the worst humanitarian crisis in Pakistan since the Asian quakes rocked the region in 2005.

UNITED SIKHS SikhAid team is working to provide food and supplies for those who need it the most, and is actively looking for medical personnel and volunteers to join in the relief efforts.
