In the middle of COVID-19 pandemic, UNITED SIKHS teams and volunteers with the support of our donors have been active in responding to all these challenges unfolding in India, Afghanistan, Malaysia, Australia, Lebanon, Kenya, the United Kingdom, Haiti, Canada, and the United States.
We are serving the needs of Farmers in India, Afghan minorities under threats of violence, abused children in Kenya, homeless populations in the United States, Canada & Australia, victims of earthquakes, flooding and tropical storms around the globe, education needs of the most underprivileged children in India and many communities impacted by the continuing COVID-19 pandemic.

Projects 2020-2021
India Farmers Protest
Humanitarian & Legal Aid

Since the start of farmer’s calls for economic justice in India from summer 2020, UNITED SIKHS teams have been providing continuous medical, food, water, housing, clothing, ambulance and legal humanitarian services to farmers camped outside Delhi in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.

Humanitarian Aid

The delta variant of COVID-19 hit India really hard in early 2020. Tragic scenes unfolded in Indian cities with patients driving around in search for Oxygen. UNITED SIKHS teams sprung into action to supply oxygen tanks and concentrators to those in urgent need. We provided free crematory services to those who could not afford the dignity of last rites. Eventually we switched out efforts to vaccination drives.
Kenya Providing Support to
Humanitarian Aid

Our Africa teams have partnered with hospitals, non-profit organizations, Childline Kenya and the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) to serve the needs of abused children by distributing much needed food, pharmaceutical drugs and medical supplies.
Lebanon Providing Relief Services

With each passing day, the lives of Lebanon’s citizens, migrants and refugees is becoming more unbearable; the poverty rate has doubled and the extreme poverty rate has tripled over the past year. Covid-19 pandemic adds to the continuing grave humanitarian crisis. Our volunteers in Lebanon have teamed up with local Gurudwara and organizations to provide much needed relief services.
Haiti Providing Support
Humanitarian Aid

Haiti was struck by a devastating 7.4 earthquake followed days later by a tropical storm. UNITED SIKHS rescue teams were on ground after these back to back disasters distributing urgently needed food, medical supplies and temporary tent shelters.
UK Distributed Laptops
Community Education and Empowerment

The digital divide is a growing concern in even wealthy nations around the globe. UNITED SIKHS in partnership with Wolves Tech Aid in the United Kingdom are continuing to distribute laptops to children and families who are lacking basic access to technology adversely impacting their access to basic education.
Louisiana Hurricane Ida Relief
Humanitarian Aid

Hurricane Ida left a trail of destruction across Louisiana and many states leaving thousands homeless with no electricity, water and gas. UNITED SIKHS teams from across the nation responded by providing relief services focused on food and drinking water for displaced families.
US/Canada British Empire Medal
Humanitarian Aid

Two UNITED SIKHS Volunteers were awarded the British Empire Medal in recognition of their work helping more than 500 people in the UK to return to India and Pakistan. Some of these people haven’t seen their families and loved ones in decades.
Nanded Secured Bail In
Civil & Human Rights

UNITED SIKHS legal team secured bail for Sikhs arrested following Hola Mohalla procession in the city of Nanded in the western state of Maharashtra, India. UNITED SIKHS is committed to providing any required legal representation to Sikh men along with anticipatory bails for many others in Nanded who have been falsely ensnared in FIR’s.

Community Education and Empowerment

UNITED SIKHS is providing financial aid to cover education needs of over 60 severely disadvantaged Sikh children in India including those from Sikligar community. UNITED SIKHS is dedicated to seeing these children finish primary schooling to realize their dreams for a better future.
Afghan Support Afghan Refugees
Humanitarian & Legal Aid

Afghan minorities have come under repeated violent attacks in the last few years. UNITED SIKHS began partnership with Afghan minority communities in 2008 and after the bombing at Gurudwara Har Rai Sahib in Kabul on March 25th in 2020 responded with emergency response to facilitate their transit to safer refuge outside of Afghanistan. This critical mission continues for remaining minority communities in Afghanistan.
