COVID-19 VACCINATION

Covid-19 Vaccination

The COVID-19 Vaccine helps protect you from contracting COVID-19 and developing symptoms. The vaccine will work with your immune system so it will be ready to fight the virus if you are exposed. It’s important to get vaccinated against COVID-19 when you are eligible and maintaining other prevention measures such as wearing a mask, staying at least 6 feet apart, avoiding crowds, and washing your hands. Stopping a pandemic requires using all the tools we have available to keep you, your family, your co-workers, and your community healthy.

Immigration status does NOT affect an individual’s access to getting vaccinated.
This vaccination is free of cost and insurance is not required to get vaccinated.
Some sites may ask for insurance information before confirming the appointment.

Currently, three vaccines are authorized and recommended to prevent COVID-19 by CDC.

Even if you already have COVID-19 antibodies or have previously contracted the virus, it is still advised to receive the vaccine. The vaccine is safe and can enhance the protection your body has already developed.

After receiving the COVID-19 vaccination, you may experience some side effects. These are normal indications that your body is building immunity. The side effects, such as chills, tiredness, fever, and body aches, may temporarily impact your ability to perform daily activities but should typically subside within a few days.
