In Canada, it is recognized as a registered charity by the Canada Revenue Agency. The organization also holds NGO status in Belgium and operates under the French Association Law 1901 in France. In India, UNITED SIKHS is registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860 in Punjab and is tax-exempt under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act 1961. In Pakistan, it is registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In Malaysia, it is recognized as UNITED SIKHS Malaysia Humanitarian Aid Organisation (Reg. Our History

UNITED SIKHS was founded in 1999 by a group of dedicated Sikhs from the New York metropolitan area who came together to support the socio-economic development of immigrant communities in Queens, New York. Over the years, it has grown into a grassroots organization with active chapters across America, Asia, and Europe, committed to the spiritual, social, and economic empowerment of underprivileged and minority communities.

Our Mission

UNITED SIKHS is dedicated to transforming, uplifting, educating, and protecting the lives of underprivileged individuals and minority communities affected by disasters—whether natural or man-made—as well as those suffering from hunger, illiteracy, disease, or civil and human rights violations. Our mission is to empower these individuals to become informed and active members of society through sustainable programs, regardless of color, race, religion, creed, gender, disability, or national origin.

We believe that building enlightened and progressive societies is achievable through socially conscious individuals and groups committed to unlocking and nurturing human potential. Our work reflects this belief, with efforts and achievements that testify to our faith in this vision. By informing, educating, and uplifting humanity, we aim to ensure that the promises of democracy are realized by all. It is also a registered charity in England and Wales under the Charities Act 1993, a not-for-profit charity in Australia, and a registered charity organization in Canada with the Canada Revenue Agency. In India, UNITED SIKHS is registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860 and is tax-exempt under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act 1961. Additionally, it operates as a registered NGO in Belgium, France, and Pakistan, is a registered society under the Registrar of Societies in Malaysia, and is pending NGO registration in the Republic of Ireland.
