Our History
UNITED SIKHS was founded in 1999 by a group of committed Sikhs from the New York metropolitan area who came together to support the socio-economic development of newly arrived immigrant communities in Queens, New York.
What began as a local effort soon grew into an international grassroots movement. Rooted in the Sikh principles of seva (selfless service), sarbat da bhala (welfare of all), and justice, the organization has expanded across North America, Europe, and Asia—working to empower marginalized communities through humanitarian relief, legal advocacy, education, and civil rights initiatives.
