Panjab Floods: Minimizing Sighs and Tears
Dear Compassionate Supporter,
More than 1473 villages in 19 districts have been impacted by floods in Panjab. Tens of thousands of people displaced. Over 2.4 lakh hectares of paddy crop destroyed. Economic loss of more than 1000-crore. The severity of the disaster continues to unfold.
But our teams of volunteers are making tireless efforts to minimize suffering of the people. They have been overcoming obstacles like chest-deep waters, broken roads, harsh conditions to alleviate hunger, minimize disease, infections and prevent further loss of livestock.
Let us share with you some glimpses of their on-the-ground efforts:

UNITED SIKHS volunteers taking medicines and essential supplies to Ghaniye Ke Bet and surrounding villages across river Ravi in Dera Baba Nanak.
Our volunteers are reaching out to people with emergency supplies. There is an overwhelming need for potable water in villages, where water has become contaminated.

Styrofoam mattresses, tents, along with ration and essential supplies are being rushed to families impacted.

Wading through waters and braving tough conditions, our volunteers are extendng help in inaccessible areas.

We need your constant support to help our Panjab in the face of this monumental disaster. Your compassion and contribution can help wipe off tears and save lives.
