UNITED SIKHS Leads Successful Effort to Locate Missing Indian Student in the United Kingdom
Rapid response and coordinated outreach reconnect family after months of distress
Birmingham, United Kingdom
UNITED SIKHS, through its UK entity United Humanitarian Sikh Aid, successfully facilitated the location and reconnection of Pradeep Singh, a student in Birmingham, United Kingdom, who had been out of contact with his family in Punjab, India since January 2023.
The case came to United Humanitarian Sikh Aid after an urgent appeal from the family. Demonstrating its commitment to immediate humanitarian response, the organization responded within an hour of receiving the request and initiated coordinated efforts to trace the missing individual.
Narpinder Mann BEM, Director of United Humanitarian Sikh Aid activated a targeted outreach strategy that included:
- 1. Rapid dissemination of information across community networks
- 2. Engagement with local channels and diaspora networks in the UK
- 3. Strategic use of social media and radio platforms
- 4. Continuous follow-up and coordination until the individual was located
These efforts led to successfully tracing Pradeep Singh and re-establishing communication with his family.

The family has expressed deep gratitude for the swift response and support extended during a period of uncertainty and concern.
