UNITED SIKHS Condemns the Assault Against a Sikh Security Guard in Victoria,  Australia

UNITED SIKHS strongly condemns the assault against a Sikh security guard at a Victorian shopping center in Australia on Monday, March 4, 2025 as reported by ABC Central Victoria.

Video footage  released by the news agency showed how nine teenagers assaulted the security guard who they dragged to the ground while ripping-off his turban. Witnesses attempted to intervene but they were likewise assaulted in the process.

Initial investigations say that the attack occurred after the teenagers were allegedly seen consuming alcohol and playing loud music. The shopping center was locked down causing fear and anger to the public.

UNITED SIKHS denounces the utter disrespect to a member of the Sikh faith. The Sikh turban is a sacred article of faith symbolizing our spiritual commitment.
