Immigrant Rights Workshop
As a partner organization in MOIAโs Immigrant Rights Workshops (IRW) Program, UNITED SIKHS help protect immigrant New Yorkers from over-broad immigration enforcement, prevent unnecessary family separations, and ensure that community members can access city-supported legal and social services. Through these workshops, we provide timely, accurate, and practical information to our community about their rights and the resources available to them.

The workshops cover important topics such as City Services and Resources, State Policy, Executive Orders and Federal Policy Changes, and Workersโ Rights and Worksite Enforcement. By addressing these areas, we ensure participants understand their rights, know how to navigate city systems, and can respond safely to workplace and policy changes.

Working closely with MOIA, we facilitate workshops, engage participants in discussion, and report on each event. With guidance from a MOIA Project Coordinator, we ensure our workshops are accessible, culturally appropriate, and effectively empower our community to protect themselves and their families.
