PANJAB FLOODS: UNITED SIKHS Expands Relief Operations To More Districts
Dear Compassionate Supporter,
Your kind-hearted support has been critical to help Panjab get back on its feet. You are enabling us to continue providing relief to the flood victims. While we continue to provide medicines and relief material on war-footing across the affected regions, our volunteers are reaching out to more districts and also expanding the kind of assistance.
In addition to providing support in the villages of Rupnagar, including those falling in Sri Anandpur Sahib, Kiratpur Sahib and Chamkaur Sahib, villages of Patiala, Ludhiana and Jalandhar, our volunteers are reaching more villages of Mansa, Dera Baba Nanak, and now even along the borders of Panjab.
Our teams also visited affected regions of Ferozepur, where people requested for cattle fodder, diesel to fuel water removal from their fields, in addition to ration supplies.

It is hard to spot homes in this inundated Nihale Wala village of Ferozepur. Several villages in the district remain badly affected with flood-waters. Our teams met people in the villages for extending the support they need.
Many organizations and volunteers stepped up efforts to provide support to people in need immediately after the floods. Such support and number of such volunteers is subsiding as the time goes by, but people in the affected areas are still need of assistance. Our volunteers are working tirelessly to help provide daily essentials, medical aid, cattle fodder and more to those in need.
We are extending urgent support to families that have specific needs as well.

Our volunteers provided wheelchair to an elderly person in Sassi Brahmanan village of Patiala, who was unable to walk. The condition of his humble dwelling worsened after the flood.
Our volunteers have also started fogging in the flood-affected regions to prevent the growth of mosquitoes to prevent the rise of dengue, chikungunya or other such diseases.
The teams relentlessly continue organizing medical camps to prevent and cure skin infections, allergies and health problems due to floods. They are providing medicines to curb the sudden spike in eye-flu cases as well.

Our teams continue actively identifying families in need, and ensuring that they receive the assistance they require. We are also coordinating with local authorities and administration to reach the hardest-hit families and individuals first.
We are committed to not only providing immediate relief but also to supporting the long-term recovery of the flood-affected communities.
“We are making tireless efforts to bring relief to those impacted. UNITED SIKHS is dedicated to serving humanity in times of crisis, and this commitment drives us to extend our reach to the most affected areas,” UNITED SIKHS Humanitarian Aid Director Gurvinder Singh said.
The relief operations are made possible by the generous contributions of donors and supporters who stand in solidarity with those affected by natural disasters.
Please continue to help us to reduce suffering and get Panjab back on its feet.
