Every year, UNITED SIKHS hosts its Annual Sikh Summit in Washington, DC. During the summit, Sikh community members from around the world are given the opportunity to meet with congressmen, senators, NGOs, and government officials to discuss important Sikh civil and human rights issues. Sikh Summit 2015
Date: July 6-10, 2015
The 2015 Sikh Summit on Capitol Hill gave community members the opportunity to meet with 15 Congressmen and Senators� offices and discuss Sikh history, values, and the most pressing issues currently faced by the Sikh community. Our aim was to spread awareness, and generate support for our ongoing advocacy efforts on behalf of the Sikh community.

Sikh Summit 2014
Date: July 26-30, 2014
The 2014 Sikh Summit held in the nations Capitol gave Sikhs the opportunity to have one-on-one meetings with their United States congressmen and various federal agency offices. The theme was INNOVATIVE JUSTICE and the goal was to discuss issues Sikhs are currently facing and gain support on these issues, and to promote education and solutions on important civil and human rights issues.

Sikh Summit 2013
Date: October 22-24, 2013
The 2013 Sikh Summit allowed the Sikh community to meet and discuss with various congressman and governmental agencies regarding issues Sikhs were facing at that time. Some of the accomplishments of this summit include Civil Rights organizations committing to working with us to correct textbook information on Sikhs, The Sikh Congressional Caucus helping with profiling issues by the TSA, DOJ committing to train law officials in Mississippi to ensure that they are familiar with Sikhism and its practices, and many more.

Sikh Summit 2012

In light of the tragedy at Wisconsin Oak Creek Gurdwara, the goal of this summit was to work harder to address the prejudice, profiling, hate crimes and ignorance that target and affect our community even 11 years after 9/11.

Sikh Summit 2011
Following the resounding success of the 2nd Sikh Summit in May 2010, UNITED SIKHS invites community leaders to join hands and approach the Capitol to discuss issues crucial for the Sikh community this summer at the 2011 Sikh Summit. With concerns and reports of racial profiling at its highest in recent years, and new policies in place that single out Sikhs at airports, Sikhs face challenges each day. Let us get together and stand up for our rights. Join us in the first week of May in Washington DC to speak with one voice, present our concerns, and suggest proactive solutions. The primary focus areas of the 3rd Sikh Summit will be around Profiling at Borders, Secondary Screening problems at airports, Immigration Reform, Employment Discrimination, and the Census.
