London, UK, 15th October, 2010 – UNITED SIKHS received the ‘Sikhs and Charities’ Award at a prestigious Sikh Awards ceremony held at The Grosvenor House Hotel, London, last Sunday. The Sikh Awards were presented by The Sikh Directory, who described the event as having the distinction of being the world’s first Sikh Awards ceremony. The ‘Sikhs and Charities’ Award was given to UNITED SIKHS for best demonstrating ‘that it has the community at heart and has had a positive impact whilst improving the health and wellbeing of Sikhs”.
