S. Prem Singh Bhangu, head of the SKM Legal Cell speaks of the collaboration and assistance provided by UNITED SIKHS since the morcha began.

He further outlines the planning and next steps to continue Legal Aid for farmers arrested on 26th of January or other farmers facing legal challenges.

“I want to inform you that the funds collected by UNITED SIKHS for legal aid has been properly utilised by the Sanyukt Kisaan Morcha.  Few months back we reached on an understanding that the fund collected for the bail applications of the farmers should be utilised for the Kissan Morcha. So, I thank, UNITED SIKHS for providing great help to the morcha since almost 2020 when the morcha was initiated. Since then, they are sitting here, providing every help to the protesting farmers and I hope in future also when there will be a need in the court also if the charge sheet chalans filed against the farmers, so there will be need of well-equipped teams and they are also cooperating with us. We already had two meetings in their Delhi office. So, we will be able in near future to form a proper, well equipped team of the advocates which they are also providing and SKM will also be providing. So, in future also we will be cooperating and will help each other in the Morcha and legal aid also,” Said Head of SKM Legal Committee, Mr. Prem Singh Bhangu.

He thanks UNITED SIKHS for the legal fund collected and given to SKM, looks forward to continuing to work with the UNITED SIKHS Legal Team and advocates, and the collaboration till the morcha achieves victory.”
