UNITED SIKHS Ensures Dignified Repatriation Supporting Family in Time of Loss
Middlesex, United Kingdom | April 17, 2026
UNITED Humanitarian Sikh Aid (UK), facilitated the repatriation of 28-year-old Amritpal Singh, from the United Kingdom to India, ensuring his remains were returned to his family with dignity during a time of profound loss.
Responding promptly to the family’s request, the team coordinated with relevant authorities to manage the entire process, allowing the family to bring their loved one home and perform final rites. While the cause of death is still being investigated, the family’s priority was reuniting with Amritpal to honor his memory.
Immediately after receiving a call from the Gurdwara in Birmingham about this case, the team promptly acted. Within minutes, they contacted the family to obtain consent, coordinated with the hospital and mortuary, arranged funeral directors, and managed all required legal documentation. Where no next of kin was present, the team assumed full responsibility for completing the necessary processes. Narpinder Mann personally arranged appropriate clothing for the final journey, organised the Ardaas with Granthi Singh prior to departure, and coordinated ambulance services in India with support from the Punjab Government to ensure transfer from the airport to the family home. The team also liaised with UK police where required.

UNITED Humanitarian Sikh Aid (UK) continues to support individuals and families across the United Kingdom, providing critical assistance in times of need, including repatriation support and emergency response.
The impact of this support was deeply felt by the family, as Amanpreet Singh, sister of the deceased shared:
