PANJAB FLOODS: UNITED SIKHS Extending Assistance At Every Step
Dear Supporter,
Challenges abound in the aftermath of the large-scale floods, but our commitment, efforts and tenacity to rebuild Panjab is greater. Our volunteers continue surmounting obstacles and tough situations to provide humanitarian assistance across the flood-affected areas.

Medical Camps and Ration Distribution
UNITED SIKHS teams are reaching more villages in different districts with ration supplies and medical camps in the affected regions to address the immediate food, emergency assistance and healthcare needs of the flood victims. With medical professionals and essential supplies on site, these camps offer crucial medical attention and support to those affected, helping alleviate suffering and providing hope in these challenging times.

Curbing Health Hazards – Eye-Flu Outbreak and Mosquito Growth
Our volunteers are actively combating health hazards arising from the floods. Measures to curb the eye-flu outbreak are underway, with the distribution of vital medicines to those at risk. Moreover, to prevent mosquito growth, we are conducting fogging to safeguard the health and well-being of those in affected areas.
Providing Shelter and Protection
We are also arranging for the distribution of mattresses, tents, mosquito nets, anti-allergy creams in the flood-affected areas. These essential relief materials are giving much-needed comfort and security to families facing the aftermath of the floods.

Empowering Farmers with Diesel Assistance
We have initiated arrangements to provide assistance in pumping out flood water from fields. Farmers are in dire need for diesel for the same, so we are arranging it for them. We are helping in the resumption of agricultural activities, enabling farmers to sow their fields once again.
Sowing the Seeds of Recovery
As part of our long-term commitment to the well-being of our farmer brothers, we are ready to initiate the second phase of the relief efforts and provide seedlings to farmers to rebuild their livelihoods in the flood-affected regions.
UNITED SIKHS International Humanitarian Aid Director Gurvinder Singh said, “The flood devastation in Panjab continues to pose immense challenges to the lives of countless families. But we remain steadfast and committed to alleviating their suffering and aiding in their recovery. Our volunteers are fueled by the spirit of compassion and solidarity, to extend a lifeline to those in need.”
Your kind-heartedness can bring hope and restore livelihoods of our brothers and sisters in Panjab.
