On Tuesday, May 24th, 2022, a gunman killed 19 children and two teachers in the Robb Elementary School in Texas after shooting his grandmother, who remains hospitalized.

There are reports that the perpetrator entered the school without being  confronted by anybody and fired shots before entering the school.  The school doors appeared to be unlocked when the gunman entered.

We offer sincerest condolences to the parents and families of the victims and to the community.

UNITED SIKHS CEO Gurpreet Singh urges all members of our community to be vigilant. “If you need assistance to secure your workplace and or gurdwaras from intrusion, please contact us at contact@UNITEDSIKHS.org.,” he stated.

For further assistance we have sources that are available for schools, colleges, institutions and corporations regards to counselling, hate crimes and training.

We will continue to advocate for dedicated resources and personnel from the Department of Justice to address hate crimes, raise community awareness and educate the public about the issue.
