Dated: November 4, 2022

Yesterday, November 3, 2022, there were FBI reports of hate threats against New Jersey Jewish synagogues.   The FBI Newark office identified a man linked to the nonspecific threat that prompted a public warning.  The individual has been interviewed and no information is available about whether he will be charged with a crime at this time.

The FBI asks that everyone STAY ALERT and take security precautions to protect their community and facilities.

UNITED SIKHS communicated with the Department of Justice (DOJ) and confirmed a realistic public warning has been issued by the FBI.

If you believe you are the victim of a hate crime or believe you witnessed a hate crime:

STEP 1: Report the crime to your local police.

STEP 2: Quickly follow up this report with a tip to the Federal Bureau of Investigation
