Dear Supporters,
As we have all witnessed haunting images in India with the surge of COVID cases that have swept across the country, UNITED SIKHS continue to be the emergency oxygen support line. Witnessing this surge in India, one little boy decided that he has a duty to help the people of the country. Lil Ray Ray, an influencer and Instagram icon, launched an urgent appeal requesting his supporters to donate funds to help provide oxygen in India.

“Within hours funds were flooding in and we became overwhelmed with the amount of support we received. We then decided that to ensure that those in need receive Oxygen we would need to connect with people on the ground. This is when we decided to donate this large sum to UNITED SIKHS who are diligently working to save lives in India at a time of need.” Said Nick, Lil Ray Ray’s Dad.

Oxygen has become a vital currency in India as many continue to battle with this second wave of COVID across India and due to the increase of patients UNITED SIKHS has launched covid centres across India. With the recent opening of a COVID-19 Care Centre at Sports Complex, Sector 43, Chandigarh patients with symptoms are being referred to, beds are being provided and Oxygen delivered to anyone who is contacting our teams via telephone, emails and social platforms. Due to the overwhelming need, we have appointed a team of nurses and doctors to take care of the patients and provide medical help. All vital medicines and medical equipment are at hand to help fight this pandemic.

“While Lil Ray Ray has been requesting supporters to donate to the cause, UNITED SIKHS continued its work on the ground by providing Oxygen machines to people in need. Many people have been calling our support line and our volunteers have been working around the clock to ensure Oxygen is supplied with the hope that another life is saved.” Said Gurpal Singh of UNITED SIKHS.

However, the work continues, many who are now recovering from COVID are having lifestyle changes due to the impact of the virus. We urge all of you to be in contact with your friends and family in India to explain to them the high velocity of this virus and how serious and life-threatening it can be. UNITED SIKHS also urge you all to have a vaccination to help tackle the virus and keep yourselves and those around you safe.

“We want to say a huge thank you to Lil Ray Ray, a real superhero, using his platform for social change. With this support we are now able to provide 37 concentrators that will be allocated to not just 37 patients but on a rotational basis, there will be many lives that can be saved and it’s all thanks to a 6-year-old kid using technology to raise his voice. A great big thank you to everyone who made a donation, you have helped someone breathe in India today.” Said Sun Kaur of UNITED SIKHS.

I wanted to use my platform to tell people what is happening in India. I am so happy we were able to raise money to help UNITED SIKHS provide Oxygen. You can continue to help me do this by DONATING Thanks Guys! Said Lil Ray Ray, who you can follow on Instagram @lilrayrayofficial
