Days of relentless monsoon rains turned into catastrophe as rivers swelled beyond their banks, swallowing villages and cutting off entire communities. Families fled with only what they could carry, while homes, schools, and fields disappeared under rising waters. What began as a seasonal storm has now left entire districts devastated, with lives and livelihoods washed away.
Communities are now struggling to survive, with families huddled in makeshift shelters and children waiting for food and clean water.
UNITED SIKHS volunteers are already on the ground, delivering life‑saving essentials like food, drinking water, clothing, and medicines to families trapped by rising waters. Initial supplies of emergency provisions have reached affected districts, ensuring that aid is not delayed.
Before departing for Assam, UNITED SIKHS volunteers gathered in prayer to seek strength and guidance to serve those in need.

ਅਸਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤ ਹੈ: ਯੂਨਾਈਟਿਡ ਸਿੱਖਸ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਹੜ੍ਹ ਪੀੜਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਖੜਾ ਹੈ।
ਮੌਨਸੂਨ ਕਾਰਨ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਮੀਂਹ ਨੇ ਅਸਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਬਾਹੀ ਮਚਾਈ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। ਨਦੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਵਹਾਅ ਪੱਧਰ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਚੱਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਕਈ ਪਿੰਡ ਇਸਦੀ ਚਪੇਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਪੂਰਾ ਭਾਈਚਾਰਾ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਖ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਿਲ ਦੀ ਘੜੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੀੜਿਤ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਤੇਜ਼ ਵਹਾਅ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਦਿਆਂ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਚੁੱਕ ਹੋਇਆ ਉਹੀਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਰ ਪਏ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਪੱਧਰ ਕਾਰਨ ਘਰ, ਸਕੂਲ, ਖੇਤ ਸਭ ਇਸਦੀ ਮਾਰ ਹੇਠ ਆ ਗਏ। ਇਸ ਮੌਸਮੀ ਤੂਫ਼ਾਨ ਕਾਰਨ ਪੂਰੇ ਜਿਲੇ ਤਬਾਹ ਹੋ ਗਏ। ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਗਈ। ਰੋਜ਼ੀ-ਰੋਟੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਧਨ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਹੋ ਗਏ।
ਪੀੜਤ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਅਸਥਾਈ ਆਸਰਾ ਘਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਬੈਠੇ ਹਨ। ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਦਲਣ ਦੀ ਉਮੀਦ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੈ।ਪੀੜਿਤ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ, ਬੱਚੇ, ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਭੋਜਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਫ਼ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਉਡੀਕ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਿਲ ਦੀ ਘੜੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਯੂਨਾਈਟਿਡ ਸਿੱਖਸ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਾਦਾਰ ਜ਼ਮੀਨੀ ਪੱਧਰ ‘ਤੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਫਸੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਭੋਜਨ, ਸਾਫ਼ ਪਾਣੀ, ਕੱਪੜੇ ਦਵਾਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਜਰੂਰੀ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਪਹਿਲ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ ਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਨਾਜ਼ੁਕ ਹਾਲਾਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਜ਼ਿਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਸਹੂਲਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਪਲਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਦੇਰੀ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਦਦ ਮਿਲ ਸਕੇ।
ਅਸਾਮ ਲਈ ਰਵਾਨਾ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ, ਯੂਨਾਈਟਿਡ ਸਿੱਖਸ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਾਦਾਰਾਂ ਨੇ
ਲੋੜਵੰਦਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਅੱਗੇ ਕਾਰਜ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਹੀ ਮਾਰਗ ‘ਤੇ ਚੱਲਣ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਹੜਾਂ ਕਾਰਨ ਆਈ ਤਬਾਹੀ ਨੇ ਅਣਗਿਣਤ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਘਰੋਂ ਬੇਘਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।ਰੋਜੀ -ਰੋਟੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਧਨ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਿਲ ਦੀ ਘੜੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਯੂਨਾਈਟਿਡ ਸਿੱਖਸ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਾਦਾਰ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਭਰ ਦੇ ਸੱਜਣ ਵੀਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਿਲ ਘੜੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਧ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਪੀੜਤ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਚੰਗੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਮਿਲ ਸਕੇ।
ਕੁਦਰਤੀ ਕਰੋਪੀ ਕਾਰਨ ਆਏ ਹੜਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਯੂਨਾਈਟਿਡ ਸਿੱਖਸ ਦਾ ਤਜਰਬਾ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਮਹੱਤਵ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਏ ਵਿਨਾਸ਼ਕਾਰੀ ਹੜਾਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਜਿੰਨੀ ਪੀੜਤ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ ਸੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਤੇ ਹੜ ਘਟਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਵੀ ਪੀੜਿਤ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਬਾਰ ਬਣਾਉਣ, ਖੇਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਬਿਜਾਈ ਯੋਗ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਰੋਜ਼ੀ-ਰੋਟੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਧਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਸੁਰਜੀਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਫੀ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਕਰ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀਆਂ ਦੁਬਾਰਾ ਤੋਂ ਮੁੜ ਆਪਣੀ ਵਧੀਆ ਜੀਵਨ ਵੱਲ ਜਾ ਸਕਣ। ਹੁਣ ਵੀ ਯੂਨਾਈਟਿਡ ਸਿੱਖਸ ਦੇ ਵੀਰ ਰਾਹਤ ਕਾਰਜਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਚਨਵੱਧਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਹਰਾਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਰੂਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਏ ਪੂਰਨਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਚੱਲਦਿਆਂ ਹੜ ਪੀੜਤ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਲੋੜੀਦੀਆਂ ਜਰੂਰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਲਈ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਅਣਥੱਕ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਨਿਭਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।

* ਸੇਵਾਦਾਰ:ਪੀੜਤ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਈਚਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਪੁਨਰ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਹਤ ਕਾਰਜਾਂ ਲਈ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਸਾਡੀਆਂ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵੱਧ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਜੁੜੋ।
