UNITED SIKHS Mobilizes Humanitarian Aid for Spokane Wildfire Relief

New York City | August 12, 2026

The devastating wildfires that swept through Spokane County have destroyed homes, displaced families, and left communities in crisis. UNITED SIKHS, an international nonprofit humanitarian organization affiliated with the United Nations, has formally offered assistance to the City of Spokane and is mobilizing relief efforts to support affected residents.

In a letter to Mayor Lisa Brown, UNITED SIKHS expressed its deep concern for the families impacted and pledged readiness to provide immediate aid. The organization has a long history of disaster response, having served thousands of hot meals during the Los Angeles wildfires and led relief operations following hurricanes in Texas, Florida, and North Carolina.
